Automation action to set insurable amount to $100 automatically

Most of the orders that I receive are valued at more than $100. The issue is that I don't want to pay for expensive insurance based on the amount paid by the customer, but instead want to set the insurable amount to $100 which is the maximum carrier insurance that I get at no additional cost. As a result, I must change the insurable value on most of my orders to be $100 before printing the shipping label as the insurable amount field cannot currently be set by an automation action like other order fields can. With hundreds of orders to process every month, this adds hours of unnecessary work. I am therefore requesting a new automation action within the automation rules so that I can set the insurable amount of an order to $100 for every order imported, and then change the insurable value only for shipments that need to be insured at something other than $100. I am sure that many other vendors set the insurable amount to the maximum carrier coverage of $100 and so this new automation action will likely save many Shipstation users countless hours of extra work.

Looks like Shipstation isn't accepting changes to carrier (We mostly do USPS) insurance at all now. Just came in this AM to do our daily mail, and every package errored out.

Parcelgaurd is a joke, no way in hell I'm using that again after many valid claims were denied.  Looks like we will be looking into Pirateship again.

Agreed, ParcelGuard is awful!

"While this feature isnโ€™t on our roadmap".....What is on your roadmap is removing the ability to create automation rules around insurance all together. That you have already done. Completely outrageous to do this and try to force your paying customers to purchase insurance you know is no good. SS customer service has gotten to be almost useless. Not the reps fault.

"we constantly evaluate ideas based on community interest and overall impact".....apparently you are not reading the same feedback I am
