I see a lot of people here upset by the plan/pricing change for the API which is understandable, but i'm curious what you use the API for?
I know a lot of ecomm brand owners but I have never really known one to leverage SaaS product API's and i'm curious as to what you are using them for.

This change is completely unacceptable and has thrown our entire operation into chaos! We were given absolutely no warning, and now our business is suffering severe disruptions. We're using the simplest ShipStation API functions – just to get orders and mark them as shipped on Etsy. This bare minimum should NOT require some ludicrous "gold plan" and a fortune in fees! We are beyond frustrated and are actively searching for alternatives because of this ridiculous situation.

Yeh that's no good. Sucks that Etsy dropped the support for 3rd party integrations to provide shipping updates. Looks like Etsy should wear some of the blame on that one as well. Thanks for sharing.

Also very upset with the API changes. We would occasionally use them to send a bulk order from a Google Sheets file to SS. No more than a dozen of these a month. Crazy that you have to pay a minimum of $100/month just to send POST and order to the API. Madness.

Interesting... why do you import orders from a google sheet instead of a marketplace?

I need the API to connect my store's website (hosted through Lightspeed) to Shipstation to add shipping to the website orders that are placed. We only get a few orders a month, we are mostly in store and convention sales. The 50 orders a month is more than enough for us at the basic plan which costs $9.99. The next lowest plan they said they could offer us was $29.99 per month that has 500 orders. That's beyond overkill when we get less than 20 online orders a month and that triples our costs. I'll be looking for a new service after I write this post. I am disappointed as I really like using Shipstation, but this is just greedy to take away a service I have been using for years unless I pay them triple what I am already paying. If I did that to my customers I wouldn't have any.
