Add Royal Mail Click & Drop

Hi Shipstation

Please can you consider adding Royal Mail Click and Drop accounts as well as Royal Mail OBA accounts to your platform. 

Royal Mail OBA pricing for small business like mine is not very competitive because I "only ship about 3000 - 4000 parcels a year'' says a Royal Mail OBA rep, but actually that's quite a lot for a 2 - 3 person team/small business. 

Royal Mail Click and Drop accounts offer more competitive pricing/cheaper rates for smaller guys like us. Please add them to your carriers it would give small and independent businesses like ours so much more flexibility and make lives easier. 

We enjoy using our Shipstation account because on busy days we can easily manage our orders with minimal fuss and when a courier/carrier is experiencing difficulties in delivering parcels it gives us the flexibility to use another carrier which means our customers are not disappointed, this is just a brief reason as to why we love Shipstation, we would love it even more if you integrated Click and Drop though. Please consider !

This would also be great for me as I am in the UK, Royal Mail is a must. I find myself using shipstation much less now as royal mail is not an option

After discussing this request with the development team, they confirmed that you already have an Online Business Account (OBA) with Royal Mail. This means you can access the full range of Royal Mail shipping services (based on your contract with them) directly through ShipStation without needing to leave the platform to print labels.

Hello, any update with this? 

As mentioned prices are higher with an online business account, compared to Click & Drop. What seems to be requested here is we 'buy' the label from you, and I assume that comes from your OBA account. Therefore the prices will be cheaper as all of us combined will mean we (you) ship more so will meet mail volumes and discounts.

To clarify, the problem with my OBA contract is that my prices are expensive/more expensive than a click and drop account. This is down to me being a small (2 person) business and shipping 'low' volumes, even though my volumes are 3000 - 4000 items per year!! I simply don't ship enough to get their lower price structures, ideally I would stop using my OBA and start using Click & Drop moreover I would like to do this via Shipstation because I use other carriers within Shipstation to ship certain items! I currently don't leave Shipstation to create my labels, I use my OBA at the high pricing rates. I understand that the rates are between myself and the Royal Mail and I have tried to negotiate them down to no avail, this is why moving over to Click and Drop is so vital for me and other small businesses like me!
