Ohaus | A Scale That Works!

I wanted to post this as I had not found any help from posts in finding a scale that would work with ShipStation. Or from ShipStation themselves frankly.

After much searching, we found and are using the Ohaus Courier 7000 i-C71M15R 15kg scale. And it worked straight out of the box with just a quick change from kgs to grams.

We had been using a Dymo scale that while it was very annoying that it would auto-power off it was still usable (although with a very small weighing plate). However in the past few months this changed and all too often after powering back on the web browser needed to be refreshed.

I would have changed a long time ago if it were easy to find a scale that was HID Compliant – and did not auto-power off. It was not.

While it cost more than the Dymo it was a substantial amount less that the Mettler Toledo BC BCA-15 (that also works). With what looks to me to be identical specs with both brands from the same manufacturer.

We initially purchased a different Ohaus scale which would not work (it was not HID Compliant) - which was my fault - however the company we got it from were fantastic, not only having no issue taking it back but being only focused on find a solution and eventually finding that the Ohaus Courier 7000 was HID Compliant. It is well documented in the instruction manual but not in promotional material.

So if it fits your budget and/or you are also having problems with Dymo, I can recommend the Ohaus Courier 7000 i-C71M15R 15kg scale.

And, for those in Australia I can highly recommend All Scales Warehouse for both great price and fantastic service.

Mate we have the same issue with the Dymo... dunno if I can justify the $700 for the amount of international we do. I will keep it up my sleeve if we do more international shipping though. Thanks for the tip.
