Scan To Print Feature -Slow to Generate Label

albert_dfo

We just switched to the Scan To Print feature on shipstation.  We like the new work flow with this feature, but noticed it takes on average about 6.5 seconds after scanning the ship barcode before the printer starts generating a label.  Is this normal and about what everyone else is experiencing?  While it's only seconds we are talking about, it seems like my employees are spending more time waiting for the label to print then it takes to scan to verify the items in the order.

Just curious what everyone else is experiencing for label print time and if there is something that can be done on our end to speed it up.

This is a pet peeve of mine too! It's worse if it's wireless as well. So far I haven't found a solution and we just get started on the next order while it's waiting to get printed.

We are seeing the same, be good to know what the bottleneck is, whether it is network latency with shipstation connect or the print spooling / printer warmup etc. We did notice that a faster network connection appears to speed things up. But be good to hear Shipstation developers views on this and if anything can be done to speed it up.
