When you're processing a return label and your ShipStation balance is too low, it just declines the charge. No prompt, no option to fix it from that screen. You have to stop, go navigate to a completely different page, add funds, and then come back and start over. It's a really annoying interruption to the workflow for something that should be pretty simple to handle. It would be great if there was just some way to add funds right from that screen when it fails. A popup, an inline prompt, literally anything. It doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to not kick you out of what you're doing. And before SS says to just turn on auto-funding, no, that shouldn't be the workaround here. That's a separate thing and people shouldn't have to enable it just to avoid getting blocked on returns. What makes it even more frustrating is that this isn't how it works for regular outbound labels. Hello ShipStation Team,I want to request the integration of live shipping rates for WooCommerce. It would be incredibly beneficial to display ShipStation's live shipping rates directly on the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout pages.Currently, we are facing an issue where the UPS rates displayed on our WooCommerce site are significantly higher than the rates we receive through ShipStation. This discrepancy is impacting our customers' choice of shipping options, especially for international orders, where they find the rates on the website to be prohibitively expensive compared to the actual costs in ShipStation.I contacted your support team and was informed that ShipStation currently supports live rates only for Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, and Wix, but not for WooCommerce. This limitation prevents us from providing the same competitive rates to our WooCommerce customers, which would greatly enhance their experience.It would be great to see this feature added, as it would allow us to offer

When displaying your checkout rates in Shopify, the rates only display the lowest option not all the options.  So for instance, USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground are basically the same and yet it only displays USPS Ground because it is cheaper.  But our customers have stated that they have no confidence in the USPS and would prefer UPS.  Also, UPS provides insurance and more of a guarantee on their packages.  We really need a way to display all the options not just the lowest priced option.  So unfortunately this feature is useless to us.  and we must use Shopify and have discrepancies. 

Currently, the list of "Custom Packages" is displayed in the order in which the list was created. IOW, the first package added to "Customer Packages" is always display first and the most recent package addition is alway display last.  It would be most helpful to be able to sort the list by name and/or size.  This would make the drop down selection menu more functional and easier to navigate.

Occasionally, there can be communication interruptions between the ShipStation platform and a user's e-commerce platform when using the API and Webhooks. Currently, the only method to update the user’s e-commerce shipment record is to copy the information manually. In the same way that there are options to reprint items like packing slips and labels, there should be an option to resend the shipment information. 

It would be nice if I could have automations be triggered by information ShipStation is receiving from the scale instead of only triggering on import. For exampleWhile in "Scan to verify and Print" we are scanning each item and then placing it in the packaging (the packaging is sitting on the scale). Once all products have been verified, it moves over to "Create Label" where it takes the weight of the package. At this point, it would be nice if this would trigger an automation to choose the service based on the "requested" and the weight from the scale. So if requested is First Class shipping and the weight is under 1lb then it chooses First Class. If the requested is First Class shipping and the weight is over 1lb then it chooses Priority shipping. 

For whatever reason SS no longer will sync/update an order that has been cancelled or refunded once the order has already been imported from Woocommerce. Both the plugin and store connection in SS both show the field(s) for these syncs yet the functionality was remvoed.I first saw this on March 3rd, 2026 and today is April 1st, 2026. In that time we had 13 orders this affected do to the nature of our product and shipping days. Having to manually try to manage this between platforms is a bad idea as an order could easily be missed and shipped out after it has already been refunded. Please reinstate this functionality. 

A customer orders several products. Use the dimensions of each product to calculate the total cubic inches of the order. We can then use this information to choose the correct box size for those of us that use cubic shipping. Seems like that would be pretty simple to do!

Hi There. Our business unfortunately can't use shipstaion without being able to have multiple packages available for multiple orders. I would say that this is pretty basic. If I have 50 orders that require 2 boxes (packages), I would have to manually book on 50 orders separately, not a chance, far to time consuming. This is a shame as everything else is perfect. I have set most of my items with preset weight and dimensionsI have a problems when I have multi item order, that cannot be preset, I want to make it idiot proof, shipper doesn't care, if a label print, he will ship without entering weight and dimensions, even if it cost me all the profit and ship at loss.I found that if multiproduct shipment are at zero weight, a label doesn't print,that force shipper to enter weight then he can print label,but some shipping company can generate label without having sizes entered.So I don't have the best rate or the best provider.Sugestion : add a way to block creating a label if dimensions are all at zero when on “package” ?

Hi ShipStation Product Team,I'm requesting two related features that would prevent costly UPS Dimensional Weight adjustments for ShipStation customers:1. Add "Package Dimensions" as a criteria option in Automation RulesCurrently, dimensions are only available as an Action Type ("Set Package Dimensions"). There is no way to create a rule that detects when dimensions are empty or set to 0x0x0. We need a criteria option such as "Package Dimensions Equal Zero" or "Package Dimensions Is Empty" so we can conditionally hold orders, add tags, or create alerts when dimensions are missing.2. Add an account-level setting to require dimensions before label creationShipStation currently allows labels to be created with no weight and no dimensions entered. There is no validation or warning. For any customer using UPS (or any carrier that uses Dimensional Weight billing), this is a serious problem. We need an admin toggle in Account Settings that blocks label creation unless dimensions are populated.

Currently, ShipStation's automation rules and product defaults allow you to automatically assign a single package type, weight, and dimensions to each SKU as orders are imported. However, automation for applying multiple packages (package sets or multi-carton shipments) to a single SKU or order is not supported at this time. Multi-carton shipments still require manual selection of the package set for each order. 

Is it possible to create an automation which tells shipstation to create a certain number of shipments for an order if the order is tagged in a certain way? At the moment, we might have 300 orders that all require multi-package shipments created for them.  We need to go into each order individually to create these multi-package shipments.  This takes us a large amount of time to do this.  We have tags and automations set up in Shipstation to tell us how many boxes will be required to pack an order.  It would be great if we could create an automation rule to tell shipstation that if an order is tagged with '10 boxes' then 10 multi-package shipments should be auto created for this order.  Thank you.

Hi- We often times have back orders but can ship partial shipments. Would love the ability for Shipstation to automatically split orders for us based on rules.

hey i wish there was a way to filter orders by FedEx zones

As Shipstation is adding new carriers the list of carriers in the drop down lists is getting so long that it now requires scrolling to access popular carriers like UPS. This is really cumbersome when updating shipping information from a drop ship or external shipping process. How about either suggestion carrier based on the tracking number (which would also increase speed) or at least allow personalized reorder of carrier list or even turn off carriers not used by users in preferences.

Need a way to filter/report/export all shipments based on the actual shipping account used.  Backend billing and financial reporting is based on the shiping account used and we need to be able to monitor shipments made on each account - whether 3rd party, shipstation or internal ups/fedex accounts.

Hello, I’m currently using Rate Shopper, but I’m finding the rules a bit limited. The basic options—choosing the cheapest rate or selecting a “Preferred” carrier within a certain amount or percentage—work fine, but they don’t fully meet my needs. Ideally, I’d like the option to choose the second cheapest rate instead of using the “Preferred” option when I don’t want the cheapest one. It would also be helpful to apply additional conditions, such as different rules for residential vs. commercial deliveries. Is there a way to configure something like this? Thanks.

Hello,For orders that are created through imports, we would like all associated information to be available when exporting from the shipment side of the process.For example, “custom Fields” are successfully generated and visible within the Orders section. However, when exporting shipment data, we are currently unable to include those same custom fields alongside the SKU information.Could you please advise if there is a way to include imported custom fields in shipment exports with SKUs, or if there are any recommended workarounds?

Ship Station needs to get working on the ability to upload documentation for international shipments. Given the changes being made in the trade world, specifically between Canada and the United States, it would be extremely helpful for importers/exporters to be able to upload their required documentation such as USMCA forms. This is a large struggle a lot of sellers are facing currently and I am sure has a lot of them pondering the idea of switching to a platform that supports this function.   

Would it be possible to create a button in the Products > Customs section that allows us to upload a special document to that product that will be included in Electronic Trade Documents that are attached to the shipment?

In the balance report in the list of transactions, it would be helpful to filter by type, and then for the adjustment details to be exported into .csv Current process is to look up this report, click into each individual adjustment ID, copy the tracking number into a spreadsheet, then look for that tracking in ShipStation to identify the order, and then record which customer to charge the adjustment to.  It would also be helpful to know more details of the adjustment, to avoide adjustment fees in the future.
