This round of Release Notes includes several improvements to ShipStation’s features, including a new version of ShipStation Connect as well as the option to keep zero-quantity list items from appearing on pack slips and pick lists. We’ve also fixed some bugs for our Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy integrations.

Improvements

Features

  • Packing Slips and Pick Lists - Option to Hide 0 quantity items: You now have the option to include or prevent items with a 0 qty from showing on your packing slip or pick list. Go to Settings > Printing > Printing Setup > Packing Slips > Document Options as well as Printing Setup > Pick Lists > Document Options. Then select or deselect the new option Hide 0 quantity items.  When selected for an order that has zero-quantity line items and line items with a non-zero quantity, only the non-zero quantity item(s) will show on the packing slip or pick list. The feature will help Shopify merchants who wish to avoid confusing their customers with a packing slip that lists an item that has a 0 qty. Previously, you had to identify orders that have 0 qty items, split the shipments so the 0 qty item shipped separately, then cancel the shipment or inadvertently create and cancel shipping labels for these 0 qty items. • ShipStation Connect v4.6 is now live! Improvements to ShipStation Connect include fixes to ease your login, so fetching printers won’t delay or prevent logging in, and you’ll see helpful, accurate error messages if there’s incorrect credentials or another access issue. We separated Dimensioners from the Devices tab to avoid confusion if you use a High Volume plan. And we have corrected timeout issues to prevent issues where Connect states, “Unable to Log In” even though your devices still display for you.

  • Payment & Subscription (France): We have completed translation into French for the Payment & Subscription page for France-based accounts.

Integrations

Selling Channels

  • Magento: Our integration with Magento supports PHP8 and versions of Magneto starting at 2.4.5 and higher. This supports the Description field for Checkout Rates. Download the new Auctane Plug-in from the Magento Marketplace to benefit from the new update.

Bug Fixes

Features

  • Schedule a Pickup - Remove Pickup in Manage Pickup Contact popup: We fixed a problem so now merchants can remove a pickup contact, even when that pickup contact already has a pickup scheduled in the registry ScheduledPickup. Previously, doing so would give the following error message: The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint. “FK_ScheduledPickup_WarehouseContact_WarehouseContactId”. The conflict occurred in database “ShipStation”, table “dbo.ScheduledPickup”, column “WarehouseContactId”. The statement has been terminated.
  • Connect a Carrier - Shipping carrier added Success Message: We have fixed a problem so now when merchants connect a new carrier, they will see only one instead of three success messages: Shipping carrier added. One shipping carrier has been added to your account
  • Create Labels (AU) - We corrected the erroneous appearance of a “Create Test Label” button when creating labels for all carriers. Now, you will not see the option to print a test label for carriers that do not support this feature.

Integrations

Selling Channels

  • Order Import: We fixed an intermittent timeout error that occurred when importing orders or products.

    • Awaiting Shipment: We have resolved an issue so that Order Source information for shipments in Awaiting Shipment status now imports as expected into ShipStation from Shopify non-Instant Order Sync stores.
  • Amazon
    • Gift Notes: We updated our Amazon integration so Gift notes and Internal notes import into ShipStation again.
    • Customized URLs: We have resolved an issue so that Customized URLs will no longer display on packing slips for ShipStation merchants.
  • Etsy
    • Shipment Notifications: We corrected the issue that prevented Etsy from receiving Shipment Notifications from ShipStation.
    • Etsy orders sent via DPD UK: We corrected a problem so now when you ship Etsy orders using DPD UK, the marketplace notification for those orders will show as being sent via DPD UK instead of DPD.
    • Etsy orders sent via Deutsche Post Cross Border: We corrected a problem so now when you ship Etsy orders using Deutsche Post Cross Border, the marketplace notification for those orders will show as being sent via Deutsche Post Cross Border
  • BackMarket - Combine Shipments: We fixed a problem so that now when you combine and ship orders in ShipStation, both orders now appear in Shipped status, as expected. Previously, only one order appeared as being marked as shipped in BackMarket.
