I would like to be able to automate the use of a specific UPS account that is NOT the ShipStation UPS, nor the default UPS account. I have a few customers' UPS accounts integrated and cannot automate the use of a specific customer orders.

Are you look for a native shipstation automation or something from a 3rd party?

3rd party. As I have three different customer UPS accounts in Shipstation, one is marked the default and I cannot automate a second to charge their account, because it isn't default or the ShipStation UPS account.

Yes, being able to set one particular selling channel to a specific carrier account seems like a prime usecase for automations (my needs are for the same thing, but with Fedex). As it stands, you can't automate it at all because the service level is attached to the carrier account. This seems like it could be relatively simple to "fix" and would be extremely beneficial.

Hello, @dfaulkner!
Great question! To set this up, youโll want to create an automation rule with two specific actions:
- Set Carrier/Service/Package โ This sets the shipping details using your default carrier account.
- Charge Shipping to My AccountโThis action allows you to switch the carrier account from the default to another one of your connected accounts.
For additional information, here is the Help Center article on Available Rules, Criteria, and Actions.
These two actions must be combined under the same automation rule for everything to work correctly. This allows you to control the shipping method and which carrier account is being used on the order.
If you need further help setting up these rules, please feel free to contact support@shipstion.com.
Happy Shipping!
