Shopify and ShipStation Phone Number Format

Shopify supports an industry-standard phone number format, E.164. Examples of E.164 valid numbers:

6135551212
+16135551212
(613)555-1212
+1 613-555-1212

The problem we have is ShipStation does not like +1 in the numbers and fails when importing it. 

We use Shopify Plus, so we can update the checkout code, but have a variety of accelerated payment options in use which would sidestep and checkout changes.

Has anyone run into this before and found a workable solution?

We are running into the same problem with our orders from Shopify when creating labels with GLS Canada only. Brackets seems to be throwing an error code with that carrier only. Have reached out to them for a fix and the only suggestion I was given was to post on the forum and "hopefully" someone from their IT takes notice and implements a fix. Good luck!
