We need to be able to edit or delete customers from the database without having to upload a csv file. Below are a couple examples for when this would be helpful. I'm sure others here will agree that some simple database management would be greatly appreciated. I recently had to correct a type-o in a customer record and the process is just unreasonable. Download an example .csv file, add ALL the customer information (not just what needs changing) upload the file, and finally make sure that the original profile was correctly overwritten. It should be as simple as hitting an edit button, changing what needs changed, and hitting save. I have two customers with the same name. Lets call them John Smith and Smith Electrical Corporation. I send a package to Smith Electrical about once a month. John Smith ordered once from our website over two years ago. Whenever I type "Smith" when making a new order, guess who comes up as the first result! There's no need for John to still be in the system, why can't I easily delete his record?

Hi Cara, will you be on the Shipstation stand in London at the eCommerce Expo? Keen talk about this 7 year old problem with someone!

Hello @shipstation4!

Thank you for reaching out! While no one from our product team will be at this sales—focused Expo, I want you to know that the development team is aware of your request and keeping it on their radar.

I appreciate your persistence on this issue. Keep asking and making suggestions!

Happy Shipping!

Please add this, it causes major issues when you try to create a shipment based on someones email address and the address in there is wrong you have no way of correcting it so we end up shipping many orders to the wrong address.

It's ridiculous that this hasn't been implemented. I asked two years ago. Others asked 7+ years ago. Glad they're "looking into it".

And FYI, these messages go straight to the spam folder. Perhaps they can look into that too.

Cara - I wouldn't exactly call it a feature. This is database 101. It's shocking that your product team can't and will not address this. Seven years? Come on. It would not take much to implement this and it would save your customers a major headache.

@CaraAdmin , if each of these comments goes to the development team and is reviewed, perhaps you can share with us the thinking as to why it hasn't been deemed important enough to implement, given the use cases highlighted in this thread and the length of time this issue/lack of basic feature has been discussed?

Hello @dtguktf!

Thank you for your excellent question! Currently, our teams are focused on other key projects, including Rate Shopping and Inventory. That said, feedback like yours helps us better understand the value this feature would bring to our merchants and plays a crucial role in shaping our future development priorities.

We also encourage other merchants in the Community to share how this feature would benefit their businesses—your insights truly help us make ShipStation even better for everyone.

Happy Shipping!

@CaraAdmin , enough with the canned responses.

"We also encourage other merchants in the Community to share how this feature would benefit their businesses"

Have you not read any of the last 7 (is it now?) years of input on this?  This feature would SAVE US TIME AND MONEY.

Instead of making crappy excuses, how about you tell us where you're at in the resolution??
