UPS Drivers rarely scan packages they pick up, they say usually that's done when they return to the UPS hub.

Recently a driver is on camera picking up a 5 package shipment. Somehow one never gets scanned and UPS says I cannot make a claim because it was never picked up.

When reaching out to UPS they say to have the drive scan a EOD form. (End of Day reporting)

Ship station looks like it can do this, it has the tabs for it, but it never populates. When asking the help chat he says it's not needed and that shipstation does not do EOD reports as its not needed.

So just to be clear if using shipstation for a shipment being picked up you still have a very good possibility that something is lost between your location and the UPS facility.

Is there a way to make a EOD report for UPS drivers to scan during pickup or will I need to switch to using UPS World Ship to get the EOD report?

Pickup Summary Barcode Report

This report automatically prints during the End of Day process for select shipments and origins (see notes below) and summarizes shipment information about the packages that your UPS driver is to pick up. This report includes:

Your account information.

A barcode that includes your account number, a unique shipping record identifier, and the total number of packages/shipments to be picked up.

Summary information so the UPS driver can verify what is to be picked up. This information includes the total number of shipments and packages and the number of packages by service.

An area to record the name of the UPS driver who picks up the packages, the pickup time, and the total number of packages picked up by the driver.

If you use multiple shippers to process shipments, the shipment information is grouped by shipper accounts, and the report information for each shipper starts on a new page. The shipper number is shown in the Account Number field on the third line of the report.

Notes:

This report prints only for small package and World Ease shipments with US 50, Puerto Rico, and Canada origins and during close out of Trade Direct Cross Border consolidated movements from Canada to the US. For these movements, this report prints in US English and prints only for UPS Small Package child shipments. It does not print for all other origins or during close out of Trade Direct consolidated movements.

For Canada origins, this report prints in US English or Canadian French, based on the workstation's language of installation. If the language of installation is other than US English or Canadian French, this report prints in US English.

Be sure to give this report to your UPS driver when he or she picks up the packages. The UPS driver scans the barcode on the report with the Delivery Information Acquisition Device (DIAD). Then the UPS driver signs the report and records the pickup time and the total number of packages on the bottom of the report. Since the UPS driver scans this report but does not take it, you may keep the report for your records.
