Problems:

1. Finding "New Order" is difficult.  It should be the BIG button.  Even starting a new order after printing a label is convoluted and difficult.  This should be the easiest function of all.

2. Allow direct entry of state.  It's two letters, it's on our order, we don't need to scroll through a drop-menu, just let us enter it directly.  I know, if we do it quick enough...but we can't always.  Website programming issue.

3. Let us set defaults like what we're shipping - most often a package.  Why have to pick that every single time?  Also, our default is no insurance.  Every time.  Our default is USPS - every time.

4. Once a package, size and weight are input we get a pop-over with price estimate.  Pop-over is ok, but NOT on top of the menu I'm working with!  Pop it over to the left side of the screen.

5. I constantly have issues with Shipstation not handling Captia correctly forcing a longin from another device, TFA, etc.  I don't keep email on the PC used for shipping, so TFA is always a PITA.  Can you send texts instead of emails? To more than one number (two of use us Shipstation regularly).

6.  General navigation around the SS website is a mess.  Very difficult and frustrating.  Using SS is amost always a frustration.  Yes, we save money, but frankly, sometimes it fights us so much we give up and take the package to the PO and pay full rate just to make it simple.

Hello @jaddie!

First, welcome to the Community—we’re so glad you’re here! This space is an excellent resource for finding answers, sharing feedback, and suggesting new product features. We hope you find it both helpful and inspiring.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We've passed your suggestions along to our development team for consideration. In the meantime, here are a few tips that may help with some of the concerns you mentioned:

Issue #2: When entering a state, you can start typing the name, and the correct option will appear—there’s no need to scroll through the complete list manually.

Issue #3: You can create an automation rule to apply your preferred package type to each order automatically. This can help save time and ensure consistency. Here’s a helpful Help Center article to guide you through setting up Automation Rules.

Issue #5: Clearing your browser’s cache and cookies can often help CAPTCHA function more smoothly. Also, if multiple workstations log in with the same username, this can increase the chances of being prompted for two-factor authentication. If so, you might consider creating an additional user account to avoid disruptions. Two-factor authentication will show you how to add a user account.

Let us know if you have any other questions—we’re always happy to help!

Happy Shipping!

Allow direct entry of state.  It's two letters, it's on our order, we don't need to scroll through a drop-menu, just let us enter it directly.   ISSUE #2:

I do not experience what you are saying.  I MUST scroll to find the correct state, which interupts our workflow, as we process many orders, per day.

Can there be a setting that prevents the autoscrolling feature?  Is there Tech Support at ShipStation that can assist us?
