Currently, when generating a return label, you can only generate a label for a single package. Many of our orders are sent as multiple packages. If a customer desires to return there entire order, there isn't an easy way to generate multi-package return labels for an existing shipment. We'd really love this functionality.

We ship large furniture items in individual boxes, and since we rent them, we want to be able to print return labels for every item, not one return label for all combined in one box. Our furniture items ship one per box, there and back. Can I have a plus sign to ship multiple boxes back please, just like creating boxes for the original order shipment? This also affects the multweight discount, so they need to be 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc to get the discount with the carrier.

As a furniture rental company, we really need a label for each rental item to return to us. It seems a little like overkill to have to create a whole new return order to ship something back from the original order. It would be a lot simpler to just give us a duplicate return service for each label produced on the original order. This is a critical part of our business process, and this multi-package returns program would be exceptionally valuable to us.

I completely agree, we use shipstation for big wholesale orders with multiple packages and even return for some time a mistake or not selling, to have to do this as multiple shipments is totally uneconomical! It is cheaper for us to go out to a separate company to arrange this which is inefficient to say the least... Please could you urgently give feedback on this and if this will be added, this ticket has been open for almost 7 years now and I don't see any progress? Thanks Joel

The functionality (while limited) is there to have single line items comprised of many shipments, but the returns feature set doesn't exist.

It makes no sense at all not to have a multi package return feature. Every order that we ship is a multi package event and not having the ability to return multi packages is a very time consuming task. PLEASE add this feature!!!

Yes, PLEASE add this feature. The workaround for this is to create another warehouse location for your customer and then create an order with your address as the destination. OBVIOUSLY, not ideal! So simple to add the same logic from your standard shipping logic, where companies allowing multi-package shipments allow for additional packages to be added through the UI. We specifically need this available when creating a Return Shipment on the fly through the customer page. We have customers that send in inventory from a quote we provide on their overstock, we need to provide shipping labels for this inventory as we pay the shipping.

That's fine if all the packages are a separate line item which our are not. One line item has multiple packages. "Thanks for your input, everyone! If you’re creating this return yourself from a previously shipped order, you can create however many return labels needed. Once you’ve created the return label (within the shipment detail screen) for the first line item you’ve selected and created the label, you’ll stay in the returns screen in the order detail screen and press the blue + New Return link. This will allow you to create separate return labels for your line items. If this doesn’t work for you please let us know!"

Just did a return that cost me $350 more than outbound because shipstation does not do multipackage returns before realizing what it was doing. The only workaround is to make the customer one of your warehouses and then ship the packages to yourself? Absolutely ridiculous that this has been asked for so many years without any movement.

Agree...This should have been addressed years ago. We need the ability to print multiple return labels for each line item. Each product (single line item) sold by our company comes in multiple packages.
