updating inventory via barcode scan

Since we now use the Shipstation inventory feature, it would be great to be able to barcode scan inventory into the Shipstation system. It just makes sense if we are using barcode scanning to locate orders, etc that we would be able to scan a products barcode, enter the received amount and it would update the Shipstation system. We are a small but growing company and prefer to keep as much as we can in one native system which also keeps overall costs a lower for us. We are happy to pay a bit more to Shipstation for these solutions.

Ditto on this feature. Furthermore, it's great that ShipStation integrates with many of the inventory systems out there but overall these 3rd party companies are charging an arm. It would be fantastic to have the barcode scan feature plus the ability to have products made of multiple parts.

Any updates on this feature @SuperMgr-Sarah ??  I am searching around the forum for the answer before calling into support. I see I commented on this thread back on Nov 2023, it is almost 3 years later since SS said it is PLANNED. Seems many of us are READY! 🙂

I just called into Support hoping this ability to updating inventory via barcode scan  was available, but it is not. 😞  We all need to keep commenting on this feature so they know we still want it.

Hey all! We are absolutely looking into this and many other inventory features in the next few months—precisely a way to scan a barcode to add or modify stock levels. Please stay tuned! In the meantime, if you have any other specific details you'd like us to know as we build this out, we'd love to hear it! Especially things like where you'd be working in the app when you do a scan or what the ideal flow would look like after you scan a product. Anything you got!
