I am trying to do the End of Day steps and close my shipments, but it keeps timing out. I've tried different dates, one at a time, nothing works.

Not being able to close your shipments is something we need to get to our support team. My recommendation would be to reach out either via Chat widget or email (support@shipstation.com) so that our team can troubleshoot with you directly and we can get to the bottom of this behavior.

It turns out I had selected credit card as payment method when it should have been account ๐
