Hey Team, we love the Scan to Ship page. It's reduced our order mistakes and customer service DRASTICALLY. Thank you for it.
Here's a couple things that would make this page more useful to us:
1) Fix the page spacing, especially at the top.
It's helpful to be able to view the entire parcel information (shipping service, weight, dimensions, estimated transit, label cost) on one screen, without scrolling. After the last UI update, a bunch of spacing got added so now we either have to scroll or zoom the page out to be able to view the label cost and transit estimate. Closing up some of this spacing would be a great help.
Here's how the screen looks at zoom 100%. Note we can't see the estimated transit time or label cost. Red areas show places where unnecessary space was recently added.
Here's the page zoomed to 80%, so we can see the cost and transit estimate:
If we could go back to being able to see everything from the weight down to the delivery time, without zooming or scrolling, that'd be awesome.
2) Add a link to the rate browser.
Once the parcel information is entered, sometimes we need to check other shipping options. Right now we have to use the dropdown, choose a different service, wait for the price to load, then choose a different one (try to remember the original rate), wait for the new rate to load, etc... For all the reasons the rate browser is helpful on the orders page, we need a way to browse rates in the Scan to Ship flow.
3) Link to the order
If we need to check anything on the order (like the amount a customer paid, the date they paid, custom fields, etc...) we currently have to copy the order number, switch to the orders page, paste the order, open the order, get the info we needed, switch back to the Scan to Ship tab.
It'd be great if the order number was clickable to either take us directly to the order page, or popover the order modal (like opening an order on the orders page).
Alternatively: If this isn't possible, can we at least put the order number in it's own box/field, so it's easy to copy with a double-click? The current CSS has the whole line combined, so browsers aren't sure what to copy.
Thanks for considering these ideas!

These updates would be great, especially the rate browser or being able to see which service rate shopper has selected
