Printing Error: SKU too long

Hi there,

We have SKUs that are blocking the label creation owing to their length. For now, we have manually edited the product every time to shorten the SKU, which is tedious and unsustainable.

I'm told that the best option for us presently is to export the products, edit the SKUs, and then reimport them into ShipStation in the Products tab. However, this would require us to repeat the process frequently, as we have regular new product drops and launches. Other than that, I'm told there is no other way to edit the SKU unless we change our SKUs for the business; something which we are not prepared to do.

I'm looking to understand why the SKU length is a blocker in the first place? If the block can't be lifted, then is there a solution whereby ShipStation can automatically cut the SKUs on import?

Thank you for your post in the community! The limitations you're experiencing are most likely due to restrictions from the carrier rather than ShipStation. Itโ€™s great that youโ€™ve already worked with support to troubleshoot and found a workaround.
