Saving weight and dims when shipping

There used to be a check box in the shipping screen to save weight and dims for a new product shipped.  I don't see it anymore and was told by ship station support that the only way to update a new products weight and dims is manually to go into the product and add them.  Has anyone else noticed this missing?

Hello @lfsrachel!

Thank you for your post in the community! This feature is still available for orders containing a single item. I've attached a screenshot showing where to find it on your order screen.

Additionally, I've included a Help Center article on Product Defaults for more details. Let me know if you have any questions!

I hope you and anyone else in the communtiy will find this helpful! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

Happy Shipping!

I do show that button on that order, which is strange, because the item already has dims and weight.  I'm not able to send a picture but I have a screenshot of a product that doesn't have dims and weight loaded already, order # 112-5452812-6973868 where that save button doesn't show up.

Hello @lfsrachel!

Thank you for following up! Support recommends checking the items first—if shipping defaults are already saved, the button won’t appear. In that case, the products will need to be updated via CSV.

I also had support review your most recent shipment. If you’re using rate shopper rules, those cannot be saved. However, if you switch to a specific shipping service, the button should appear. I am going to send you a DM through the community! I think you need someone to walk you through the in and outs of this so I am going to refer you to support.

Thank you, that's why we haven't been seeing it, because we usually use the rate calculator.  Good to know we can update the service type and then save the dims.  Thank you for the follow up!
