Hi guys
When we ship an order, or mark an order as shipped - we select the date it will be shipped. This is the date we dro it off to the carrier, or the date they are expected to pick it up from us. Very simple.
However we are finding that shipstation sends the customer a shipment notification on the date label is created , or date order is marked as shipped.
This creates confusion as the customer thinks the parcel has been sent on this date. We would like sihpstation to send the notification, simply on the date we advise shipstation to do so (the date the parcel will the shipped).
---
Currently this is not possible. Which is very confusing as its such a basic feature that we assumed would be working as intended. Not sure what the point is of selecting a date shipped, if shipstiation cannot notify the customer on the date selected.
Looking forward to your thoughts with thanks, Jannet.

Hello @JS2909!
Thank you for posting in the community! I spoke with the support team, and they advised that you can adjust your store settings to only send notifications when the order ships. Iโve attached our Help Center article for your reference.
I hope that you find this helpful!

Nope we dont use Shipstation email templates. Its not the shipstation email at all. Its the shipment notification the marketplace sends once the order is marked as shipped.
For example in our Shopify Store > Emails > Email Notifications & Templates > Shipment Confirmation Email - set to "Dont send"
