UPS Additional Charges Not Visible on Cost Review

After conducting a rate audit, we noticed that UPS does not provide ShipStation with essential cost details, such as additional charges (HST, Fuel, GST), when reviewing shipping rates. As a result, we are unable to see the full shipping cost upfront, as these charges are only reflected later on UPS invoices.

This lack of transparency creates a challenge, especially when using AI to select the cheapest rates. If UPS only displays a portion of the total shipping cost while other carriers provide a complete breakdown, the rate selection process may not be fair or accurate for either our company or the carriers.

We would appreciate any insights or solutions to ensure a more transparent and equitable rate comparison process.

Our UPS account executive has said via email "This is not an issue related to UPS; this feature can only be enabled by ShipStation. I kindly recommend reaching out to ShipStation to inquire if it is possible'".

We are having the same issue. We use UPS by Shipstation and have been getting adjustments on our stamps account from UPS shipments but no one can clarify what these adjustments are for. Shipstation claims Stamps, stamps claims UPS. I have been dealing with this for a couple of weeks now. I am losing money on shipments because the rate given isn't always accurate.
