We process and print orders in batches. Occasionally, the order pickers cannot find the items at the locations specified in the pick list. Those orders go to our Troubles team.
Sometimes we decide to create a Reship for these orders with upgraded delivery speed. We will put all the reships in a batch, and do an item-level order export (using an export format called "Troubles") to create a pull list for workers to go pick those items for all the troubles that have them at once. This often involves going to a backstock location and pulling a whole case, getting the quantity needed for the trouble orders, and taking the remaining quantity from the case to the regular pick home.
However, the shipments created by the Reship button do not include the warehouse location like the original shipment did (apparently because the location for the SKU hasn't changed, the software engineers who designed SS didn't see the point in including the location in the new shipment record). This results in an export that tells us which SKUs to locate in backstock, but not where to restock them to.
Can we please get things modified so all shipments (original or reship) include the warehouse location for the SKUs?
