Shopify On Shipstation - Need Shipstation API Help with Adding Orders to batches Via api call

Hello my developer and I are having trouble making a api call for certain orders to get assigned to a batch that is created prior to running the call. The issue we are having is it is requesting the "Shipment_Id" where is this located? My dev assumes it is found after the label is printed which defeats the purpose of us placing orders in certain batches. Any help please?

It looks like you’ve already contacted our support team—that's great! They have provided the following information. 

To access the Shipment IDs associated with your orders, use the List Shipments endpoint in our v2 API documentation.

For example, if you’re trying to retrieve the Shipment ID for an order number like test-123, you can make the following GET request:

GET https://api.shipstation.com/v2/shipments?shipment_number=test-123

This will return the shipment details associated with that order, including the Shipment ID.

Working with support will get you where you need to be to get your API's set up correctly.
