While some of you might be familiar with GlobalPost let’s dive in and answer any questions you might have.

Q: What is GlobalPost?

A: GlobalPost is a global carrier that offers support for both domestic and international shipments to over 220 countries by using a network of international and commercial carriers.

Q: Why should I use GlobalPost?

A: GlobalPost enables ecommerce merchants to ship quickly and affordably. GlobalPost ships to over 220 countries and has access to a large network of last-mile carriers, which helps optimize delivery times. Their network of partners allows you flexibility and the best service at the lowest rates. If that wasn’t enough, here are a few more reasons to pick GlobalPost for your shipping needs:

  • Discounts of up to 78% off GlobalPost Economy
  • No customs forms to print
  • Global address verification including international addresses
  • Free HS Code classification services
  • Free phone and email support for all plans
  • Instant international refunds

Q: How does GlobalPost work?

A: GlobalPost partners with a network of local and commercial carriers to help you ship to even more domestic and international locations. Packages shipped via GlobalPost will first be shipped to a domestic regional shipping center for international processing and bundling. Then at this center an international label and customs forms will be generated and added to your package for its final journey to its destination.

Q: What is consolidation?

Shipping consolidation consists of combining multiple pre-packaged orders into a palletized shipment. With GlobalPost, if you ship more than five international shipments a day you may qualify for additional discounts. GlobalPost takes out the hassle of consolidating your shipments and the cost savings are unparalleled.

Q: How do I get started using GlobalPost?

You can access GlobalPost via ShipStation Carrier Services. If you are new to ShipStation, your GlobalPost account will be set up after entering your billing info when you create your first label. No further action is required.

If you are a current ShipStation Carrier Services user, navigate to Settings>Shipping>Carriers and click the hyperlink under the list of available carriers to enable the new carrier for your wallet account.

Cannot say I can recommend this service.  The delivery estimations are wrong, since it takes extra time in their service centers.  More importantly, we've shipped 4 times using GlobalPost- 2 made it to their destinations, and 2 were lost- never made it out of the service center, and never sent back to us.

I’m suddenly getting spam calls and e-mails left and right from global post. Why did you share my information and shipping data? They are referencing the number of international shipments I make, etc.

Hey there @rmmdunn,

Thank you for providing this feedback! Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. GlobalPost is one of our sister companies. This information is not shared externally we assure you 🙂

I hope this helps clarify!

Global Post is THE WORST! It simply adds unnecessary aggravation to the shipping process, and upsets paying customers.

The estimated delivery time given in Shipstation is only from our facility in Los Angeles,CA to Global Post facility in Commerce CA. Global Post DO NOT stand by that estimate as the time it will reach its final destination. After the package is shipped, it's literally ANYONE's guess when it will arrive to the final destination. We had one package literally disappear off the radar for 1 week AFTER arriving at Global Posts facility! Customer had to be refunded. Then it reappeared another week later. Global Post blamed USPS.

However, USPS will not assist in locating the package once Global Post (a private, 3rd party company who must have GREAT salespeople to convince USPS and Shipstation to monopolize USPS Int'l shipments to them) has their hands on it. And Global Post bounces us back to USPS for tracking questions.  Lose-Lose for any shipper using Global Post.

Shipstation automatically FORCE Shipstation customers to use Global Post whether we want it or not. Call Shipstation TODAY and demand Global Post be manually removed from your account.

How do we contact Globalpost to figure out what's going on with a package? We tried shipping our first package on 8/18 and its seemingly lost.

Unfortunately I am having the same experience..  Been a ShipStation customer for a long time now and I finally tried GlobalPost (PLUS) for an envelope from US to Canada.  Which should be fairly quick.   However the envelope has been moving back and forth between my local Post Office and the Carol Stream, IL distribition center multiple times over the last month (shipped out on 8/7).   GlobalPost support simply told me that after 30 days I can file a claim.  Whats aggravating is that the GlobalPost consolidation center that the package is trying to get to IS the Carol Stream Distribution center, same address.   If nearly a month and no delivery to Canada is the norm, there is simply no reason to use GlobalPost.  Using it deteriorates your business reputation with customers since there's no guarantee they will actually get the shipment and no support for it when there is an issue.

We are very unhappy with GlobalPost and the fact that we cannot ship international orders without going through GlobalPost is leading us to consider moving our international shipping elsewhere, which could lead us to take all of our business elsewhere. Why is there no way to ship international orders with just USPS anymore?

GlobalPost is consistently taking well over a month to deliver our packages and in some cases, packages aren't ever delivered. Every single order gets stuck at "Arrived at Partner Facility" for far too long with no further info. GlobalPost is a terrible service and trying to contact them is almost impossible. Every single claim I have made for lost packages has been denied by them.

ShipStation, please reconsider your partnership with this company or at least offer alternative international USPS shipping. GlobalPost is a constant headache and now every time I see an international order shipped out, I worry we're just throwing money away and leaving our international customers dissatisfied. I know we are not the only ones unhappy with them. Even on the Better Business Bureau they are rated 1/5 stars. The cheap rates we get shipping with them is not worth it. Please provide another option, we are happy to pay more to ensure our packages will arrive.
