Standalone USPS connections

USPS wants us to use a standalone account, not the reseller account.

If this can't be done with Shipstation, we will have to move to different software.

Hey there @steve27

You absolutely can connect your own direct USPS account! If you follow the steps found in this Knowledge Base article, you can certainly add your own Stamps account. While we offer that account to be utilized thru us, you are not required to use it.

I hope this helps! 🙂

USPS said Stamps.com is a reseller account. We will need to have our own USPS account.

Thank you for clarifying @steve27

At this time, these types of Stamps or Endicia connections to the USPS system are what we have available.

With that in mind, i'm happy to add this conversation to our Ideas board!

This is the message I received from USPS

"

Your Stamps account/meter belongs to a reseller, the next step is that you reach out to Stamps and ask them to set up your account as a ‘stand-alone’ account.

Once that is set up, we will be able to upload the rates.

"

Good morning @steve27

Thank you for clarifying this message from USPS. If they have not already, you should be hearing from one of our agents soon about this request 🙂
