A better woocommerce rate estimator integration

It would be helpful if there was an integration for woocommerce that would allow for customers to get a more accurate shipping quote prior to payment.   Once they are ready to checkout the widget query a shipstation account to determine the size specifications and weight of each product, then select a box size (from a list of boxes the we have set as "available") that would be compatible with the total number of products selected. Once the box is selected the total weight of the box could be summed. Using the total weight and box size plus the delivery zip code a shipping quote could be given live prior to the order being placed.

It seems like this would be a good use of an AI integration as the box size would depend on how the products were oriented inside the box for optimal space saving.

I also wanted to share a quick update from our development team. We’re aware that ShipStation support for WooCommerce Live Rates has been a topic of interest, and I’m pleased to let you know that it is on our roadmap. This is a fairly large project with several moving parts, and the current estimated timeline is mid-to-late 2026. I’ll be sure to share any updates as they become available, though please keep in mind that this timeline is subject to change as work progresses.
