Customers are able to add product options when they place an order in my store. For example, if I am selling sun glasses, the customer has the option of adding a glasses case to their order. The glasses case is not a separate product but an add-on.
The ShipStation email confirmations only show the product and not the add-on, the customer sees that the glasses has shipped but nothing about the case. I get emails and calls from customers to confirm that the add-ons were included with their shipment.
I think it is important that the add-ons be included with the shipping confirmation.
