We would like a more robust return system. One of the issues that we have is that when a return is received physically that receipt isnt communicated digitally to our customer support team. Having a Returns included in the API would allow us to take action about the creation of a return label, the receipt of a shipment for which a return was made, etc.

I agree. I have been trying to implement this functionality as well and cant find a work around for getting return orders. Did you find any way to do this?

Hey there @KSrugpadusa,
Thanks for joining us! Return via the API aren't available directly, but one method i've seen used as a workaround is to utilize the /shipments/createlabel endpoint and reversing the Ship To and Ship From addresses.

I agree it's so f*cking easy to implement this api and the workaround for this don't work. Of course your swap ship To and Ship From address but then it'll be a separate order (return not tied directly to order) so viewing returns via Shipstation interface will be impossible.
Would take me maybe 1 day to build out this endpoint if I worked for shipstation
