Deliver by date?

What is the new delivery by date field that appears at the top of the order summary? Is there a way to assign this with automation rules? Can it be used as a variable for Shipping Strategies to ensure that rate shopping considers both cost and delivery date? Not finding any details about this new field... tell us more!

Hello oeban31!

 

Thank you for your post. The Delivery by Date feature was launched, and currently, you can only set a Delivery Date on single orders. The feature to bulk update multiple orders is still in development and coming soon.

 

It's primarily for orders like Amazon Prime that must meet specific delivery windows (e.g., 2-day delivery). You will find the help center article here,  in case this may help.

Good news for you today! It looks like this feature has already been launched. You will need to add it to the columns on the grid. I have attached a screenshot for you here.

I see Shipstation automatically Pulls in the deliver by date for Amazon orders can that be done for Etsy orders as well? @CaraAdmin

Thank you for the post in the community. We can understand how the deliver-by date would benefit your ETSY store. I spoke to the developers, and this is a limitation of the ETSY API.

I was able to get some added information from support. They suggest that you use the deliver-by-date value as criteria for an automation rule that applies a Shipping Strategy - here’s a screenshot of a mockup from their account: https://share.zight.com/d5uj454g.

@CaraAdmin I have not found where to leverage the deliver by date in the shipping strategies. Can you show me how to do this?
