Mobile Picking Challenges/Opportunities

We started using Mobile Picking and are running into a few major hurdles that impact performance.  Overall, we like it, but below would improve the functionality considerably, especially for high volume periods.

  • There is no reporting or visibility to what tote/bin is assigned to which order.  Why does this matter?  If I am searching for an order that has been picked and is awaiting shipment, I have no idea what bin it is in.  If I am trying to get all orders out for a specific day, I can't find them and end up needing to repick them manually to make sure it is complete.
  • Performance Reports for Pickers, How many units are they picking per hour?
  • I need to be able to cancel the batch of an order in Picking or Picked status if it never makes it to packing.  We have seen this quite a bit (we are processing 5000 orders per day).  This would allow us to rebatch it to have it repicked for packing.
  • If there is an exception, a missing item for an order, allow me to flag that item as an exception or bypass it.  We are currently bypassing it and having to put a post-it in the bin to call out what is missing.  If I could scan the bin to see what should be included in the order, that would be easier, See #1 above.  We need a way to know what tote is assigned to each order to better troubleshoot issues.
  • Grey out an order or immediately remove it if it has already been selected by an another picker, we have seen multiple people in the same batches.
  • Occasionally, I need to go backwards to look at something, all of my work is canceled out. This should not pull me out of picking.
  • Sort Batches in the mobile picking from Oldest at the top to newest at the bottom so that the oldest is always at the top.
  • Photos arent showing in mobile picking consistently
  • Open batches should be seeable by all users, not just the creator
  • I would like to be able to see in the notes "who" picked an order.  The user login should be captured and the picking updates should be capture here.
