Has anyone shipped to Japan through Shipstation? I know it doesn't validate those addresses but can you still ship?

Yes, you can still ship to Japan!

ShipStation does support the unicode characters, but the issue is that many carrier APIs do not (which is why those characters will print as ??? on labels). We recommend either getting the translated address from your customer or through a translation app (like Google Translate) so you can enter the translated address into the Recipient Address fields in ShipStation before creating the label.

Some merchants will also print the Kanji unicode address on a separate sheet and also attach that to the package so to help the local Japanese mail service with more efficient delivery as well.
