Issue

When creating a Stamps.com Carrier Pickup from within ShipStation, the user is receiving an error similar to the following:

The Pickup Contact requires the Location Notes field is populated with text. I'm not sure WHY it needs it, but it does. Unfortunately there is not a way to edit an existing pickup contacts, but one can create a new pickup contact via this dialog box.

1. Click the ShipFrom Contact dropdown

2. Click Create new Ship From contact

3. Fill out the form, including the Default Location Notes

4. Click Create Contact

Once you schedule the shipment, select this newly-created contact as the Pickup Contact.

Thanks! This solved my issue! Can you confirm whether these now cost money to schedule or not? I know regular mail delivery ones are free but now it is asking me for the times I want it collected within? Can you advise from your experience? Thanks in advance!

Glad to hear it solved the issue for you, too.

Sorry, I can't confirm (yet) that these are still free -- unfortunately, ShipStation has provided basically no information about how this works, so I don't know.  I found something in ShipStation that said that you may be billed separately for any "carrier charges", but haven't seen anything from the new USPS pickups under Carrier Pickups.

I did notice that our mail carrier did do the pickup after scheduling it this new way, which is good. But wow I sure hope I'm not getting charged for it now!
