Our team would like to display only the recipient's first name in our email template. Currently, the HTML option provides only the first and last name and this is not in alignment with our company's general aesthetic. I'm curious if anyone has dealt with request to remove a customer's personal information from their systems in response to GDPR, CCPA or other privacy laws? ShipStation and its APIs don't seem to provide any functionality for this. And especially in the case of customers and orders that originate from a linked ecommerce system, it does not seem possible to update personal information and replace it with annoymized data. Has anyone dealt with this successfully?

We want to prevent users from creating new shipping defaults and overwriting existing data. Below is a screenshot of the Product Management user permission. One would think that this would allow you to prevent the user from modifying product shipping defaults. That is NOT how it works. It simply blocks the PRODUCTS tab from being accessible but still allows the user the overwrite any existing shipping defaults. Defaults that are overwritten could have catastrophic consequences for business owners that are unaware a user may be creating new shipping defaults. Please correct this quickly!!

As security is key these days and 2 Factor Authentication is now in demand and is basically standard for most apps and platforms we would very much like to see ShipStation implement this so it can either have 2 factor by SMS text option or authentication App such as Twilio Authy. It would be really helpful if we could change the wording of the "transit time" that displays underneath shipping methods at checkout. Currently there is no way to change it since it is part of the 'Live Rate Feature'. Some of our products are made-to-order, so showing "transit time x-x business days" may confuse some of our customers.

As of October 2021 Warehouse Locations are 100% unusable in a production environment. While it is easy to enter a shelf/bin number there is no way to easily view what shelf/bin a product is located in when processing/picking/pulling orders. In its current state the following workflow is required to view a shelf/bin number... 1. Highlight all orders you want to allocate... 2. Click allocate selected orders. 3.perform the following steps for EACH order you just allocated... A. click the order B. perform the following steps for EACH item in EACH order... a. click an item in the order b. click the inventory tab c. MANUALLY RECORD the the shelf/bin of the item d. close the popup window. e. click the next item in the order go to step b. C. After you have recorded all the locations for all the items in the order close the order D. Click the next order, go to a. Warehouse Locations in Inventory Management should be clearly marked as beta or experimental as it simply is unusable in it's current state.

Hello, I'm posting here as requested by your support. See request ticket 1994540. Basically, it would help us quite a bit if we were able to restrict a user from not seeing other orders (imported or created by other users), but at the same time allowing them to create/ship a new order of their own.So they can create/ship their own created orders, but at the same time not mess with existing orders. I was surprised to learn that this isn't possible with the current implementation of permissions/restrictions. Surely, we're not the only ones that would benefit from this. It seems like it would be a common use-case.

Every API and integration requires Store IDs to link orders correctly, but they're not available from the front-end. Just adding a little line of text on the store setup page would be the easiest add-on to make the process of setting up that less cumbersome.

I think it would be amazing if we had an email marketing feature added to Shipstation. I feel the need to email feedback requests to my customers 1 week after package delivery is confirmed but currently can’t figure out a way to integrate my email marketing service to do that. I am currently sending feedback request emails manually after a week and it’s not efficient. If we have email marketing option native to Shipstation, that would be awesome! We can nurture and increase sales!!

We would like to give our clients one-time access to Shipstation just to integrate their stores with our SS account. For example, one needs to be logged into Shopify store admin account in order to approve SS-Shopify integration. If a store owner doesn't want to share admin rights to their store, they could log into Shipstation with restricted access, and add their store by themselves. And to keep other SS stores confidential, there should be an option to hide them somehow. All ideas (and new functions) welcome 🙂

Currently the ShipStation API will only return label data when the label is created (POST /shipments/createlabel). It would be very useful for us to be able to pull the label data through the list shipments endpoint (GET /shipments). As this will increase the amount of data returned by the API, adding a parameter similar to includeShipmentItems would make the labelData field optional. Additionally, it would be important to get label data for multiple orders at the same time to reduce the number of API calls we would need to use. In our use case we search for shipments between a specific shipDateStart and shipDateEnd.
