I am seeking information on how to add my warehouse layout to Shipstation. Specifically, I want to ensure that when my warehouse team prints out packing slips, the products are arranged in the most efficient order based on the layout of our warehouse and the products listed on the packing slip. This will help streamline our packing process and improve overall efficiency. Do you happen to know if this is possible and, if so, how I can go about doing it? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I am looking for the ability to create/customize packing slip layouts.  We are currently doing 80% of our shipping in ShipStation but still have to pay for and maintain our legacy shipping system because the remaining 20% of our orders are not able to be printed in ShipStation.  This is due to them printing on a customized, integrated packing slip.  The integrated packing slip is 8.5" x 14" and the bottom portion of the packing slip includes a place for the 4"x6" shipping label, as well as 10 smaller labels that contain customer and order specific information.  We physically apply these smaller labels to our product prior to shipping.

Screenshots below show the entire integrated packing slip, as well as a detailed view of the bottom portion. I would like to be able to migrate 100% of my business to ShipStation but I cannot do that until I have this addressed.

I usually prepare my shipments before sticking on the labels, and handwrite the name of the client so I know which label is for which package.  Frustratingly its not possible to print the packing slip before the label, which causes issues with my workflow as I cant seal the packages ready for the label to be affixed.  As a result I resort to printing the packing slip via ebay.

Would it be possible to allow the packing slip to be printed despite no label being printed (yet)??

It would be extremely helpful if shipment notification emails could be sent when creating a quick label, not just with automated orders through a store.

In addition to automated order labels, our business utilizes the rate calculator to create quick labels quite often. There is a field to input the recipients email address, but there is no way for the recipient to receive a shipment notification email. This seems like an easy function to add as and would be incredibly beneficial.

It would be a great idea if we had the ability to customize the Order Summary Report template, and rename it just like we can do so with Shipping Templates.  For example, the Order Summary Report is condensed and organized vertically and is really a great template to use for a warehouse to pick/pack items quickly.  Leaving the standard Order Summary Report is fine whereas it useful as-is for many people/companies.  But what I would do is eliminate the pricing, enlarge the font size of the Qty, rename the "Record #" to be "Order #," and increase the font size of the "Order #."  I would also add a "Due Date" to let me warehouse know when we expect to size this order and I would also add a section as to how it will ship (UPS, Fedex, Palletize, Crate, etc).

Seems that being able to select printing on a Standard #10 Business Envelope (4.125 x 9.5) should be an option.

Currently, shipstation users are only able to customise their packing slips, however, i believe many of us would greatly benefit from the ability to customise other documents such as the Order Summaries, or even the Pick List.

Different companies will always have differing workflows. Adding the ability to customise more documents will allow many companies to become more efficient when using shipstation, without changing their workflow to line up with shipstations features.

For example, our fulfilment team picks items per order, which means that using the Pick List to give our team a document that contains the warehouse location is not useful, as it cannot be sorted so that it displays per order, but we cannot add the warehouse location onto our order summary document. This leaves us with one option... printing packing slips for each order that needs picking, as it is the only document that can be customised, and have the location added to it. Therefore, if we could simply add location information into Order Summary, our team would have a much more efficient time picking items in the warehouse.

When configuring multi-package shipments, why can't I customize the SKU that will come out on each different label of the shipment?  Having each label of my multi-package shipment come out with the same SKU doesn't help our fulfillment process out at all.

I used to use a program called Shipworks, when I printed my shipping label to my thermal zebra printer, it automatically printed off the packing list/customer invoice.

Can this please be done, it saves alot of time.

Our workflow requires 2 copies of the packing slip since one goes in the box with the shipment and the other is used for billing.  Please add configuration of the number of copies of the packing slip that will be printed through ShipStation Connect by default.

Hi,

Currently the lower lines of our packing slip are being overridden by footer messages. This reduces the percieved quality of our service by our customers and renders any lines after the tenth unreadable.  We also send send a second packing slip that works as a return slip with similar results.  Would it be possible to introduce a number of lines setting or variable in the body section of the label design?

Regards

Royalmail Click and Drop adds a logo to RM labels, but shipstation does not although it is in the options.  Can we get the ability to to this added please, its by far the most used postal service in the UK

Hello Team

It would be useful if we could have the date and signature automatically printed on commercial invoices. Are there any plans to introduce this feature?

Thanks

Paul

For domain networks, SSC is really a pain to run in a users context.  Can't we have it run as a windows service so it can run independent of who is logged onto the computer?

Also, it currently doesn't support 2 scales hooked up at the same time (just finished a support ticket where they couldn't solve this).  I have 2 shipping stations, trying to avoid having SSC run on each station and ran USB cabled to a centralized, mostly hidden machine that I planned to use to share out printers and scales from one place, only to discover the same machine won't recognize 2 scales via SSC.  Windows recognizes them just fine, SSC doesn't.

I know this has been posted before, but it needs to be posted again:

Please let us generate pick lists with no order limits. Right now the maximum number of orders for which we can create pick lists is equal to the number of orders that can be displayed on a page (500). We regularly have many more orders than that, so we print two pick lists and then manually combine the two. It's very messy.

My suggestion is to add this feature and it will help alot and work will be done faster without mistake.

I want if i print label on zebra printer so packing slip automatically print on my regular printer 8.5 11 this way there would be less chance to skip the packing slip so in work flow it help alot ,We print 50 label one by one for a reason but after every label print we have to print packing slip and some time by mistake we forget to print packing slip so it broke squance at the time packing slip and many time order shipped wrong due to this issue.

Also if possible for international fedex label , we have to print commercial invoice so is there possiblity to add that feature like if we print international fedex label so it should automatically print 3 copies of commercial invoice once we print fedex international label .

We use to have shiprush and they had that facility so hopefully it can be done here as well ?

Use case: The person fulfilling orders prints in bulk everything including pick lists.

Now: The list is an aggregation of items from all selected orders.

Convenient to have: The possibility to group those items by order so it's easier for the picker to separate the correct number of items for each order.

PLEASE add an option to suppress the Phone Number from the address block. Who in their right mind would want UPS or FedEx to leave a package outside of their home or business only for some porch pirate to steal your package and now the thief also have your phone number?

We can't always have control over how the data gets sent over from our e-commerce platform so the option to suppress the phone number on the label, should be something that is controlled within ShipStation (and my vote is to have it OFF by default)

We utilize Recharge subscriptions and on the pick list we group all orders by each item, but for subscription items the pick list is displaying each separate charge interval frequency, shipping interval frequency, and shipping interval type (week, month). We also use an upsell app which appends an upsell offer ID to each upsell item sold, thereby creating a separate line item on the pick list for each upsell item sold. I would like to omit these item sub-details from the pick list so we can group all items of the same master SKU together, regardless of subscription frequency, upsell offer, etc.

It would be most helpful if emoji's used in some of our product titles could be printed in our Pick List. In this case we use an American flag emoji to help us demarcate our USA made sandals from overseas made. It really would help to have that visual cue get printed.

Furthermore, I think that the printing of emojis may find other beneficial applications for us and others.

Can you help?

Thank you.
